Paul Kerzner was born and raised on Long Island, in New York. He graduated from the State University of New York at Albany in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After completing his undergraduate studies, Paul entered the work force and moved into New York City. He lived in Manhattan for 7 years, working in the financial services industry, with a technology focus. While spending the majority of his professional career in corporate America, he experienced work-related anxiety and stress, suffering from short bouts of depression, which he sought treatment for. He also suffered from insomnia, chronic back and knee pain, had severe acid reflux and frequent headaches. Like many people, he attempted to remedy these symptoms with over- the-counter medications. When that failed, Paul consulted with a variety of doctors, who provided still more medications. But ultimately, most of these ailments were never fully resolved, and he just accepted them as a part of his life.
Paul was first exposed to acupuncture in the winter of 2008. A good friend described remarkable experiences he was having with acupuncture at a clinic in Union Square in Manhattan. Paul started treatment and immediately, things in his life started to change. He was amazed at the level of care he was receiving, and he began to notice that everything that he was suffering from was inter-connected. He began a regular regimen of twice-weekly acupuncture treatments, and incorporated Chinese herbs into his diet as well. By the end of his first year of treatments, 75% of the issues that he was suffering from for years — if not a lifetime — were resolved. Suffice it to say, he was convinced of the efficacy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. After a year and a half of treatment, he knew it was time to make some serious life changes. He took some time to think about what profession he could choose which would fulfill him, and it didn’t take long for acupuncture to be answer. Wanting a chance to share the truly profound experiences he had, Paul now has that opportunity to provide others with health and well-being.
